Death of Barney McKenna<\/strong><\/h1>\n

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barney McKenna. The Dubliner\u2019s founding member died this morning,
\n5th<\/sup>\u00a0April 2012 around 11am.\u00a0 He was 72 years of age.<\/p>\n

Barney played the banjo and had his own logic on life. For example, he was late for an appointment somewhere in Europe and when asked about it, he said that if they had the same time as us he wouldn\u2019t have been late.<\/p>\n

We will miss your music, your logic and your smile Barney!<\/p>\n

Very sad day for Dublin, The Dubliners, Ireland and those who loved appreciated and respected the talents of Barney.<\/p>\n

May you Rest In Peace with the angels in heaven. You are now reunited in harmony with your fellow Dubliners who await you at Heaven\u2019s Gate with open arms.<\/p>\n
